How TreeHouse Came to Be

What makes TreeHouse so special? Your kids. How did it come to be? My kids. Well, it was having my kids that made me realize the need for quality, clean, safe and fun places for children to play and make friends.

As a ‘child-less’ pharmaceutical rep I had no idea what the world of kid entertainment consisted of. After becoming the mom of two, I quickly discovered the low levels of service and cleanliness at the pools, arcades and pizza-game centers. They certainly weren’t up to the standards I had been used to as a professional. And what profession is more important than raising our children?

So the seed was planted and from that the Chelsea TreeHouse grew and then the Chicago TreeHouse in Lake Zurch, IL sprouted up.

My staff and I are so thrilled to be providing your children a place where they can use their imagination, build motor skills, and give you a break at the same time. You know from the quality service we provide that this is not a business to us but a passion. And you are not customers but friends.

For those of you who haven’t stopped by the absolute best kids’ play address in town please come and meet us. We are a family entertainment destination that truly serves the whole family. You can entertain younger children in our spacious baby area while kids can wear themselves out in a multi-level play structure, with swinging bridges, enclosed slides, padded mats and ramps, swings, and soft basketball courts.  Here, children play with minimal supervision, while parents relax; and what really makes us unique is where you get to relax. You’re not catching a break on a plastic lawn chair, bench or child-size seat but instead in our upscale setting with leather couches, free Wi-Fi, a gourmet café with healthy food and snacks for parents and kids.

Now that’s enough about us. What about you? We welcome your testimonials and fun stories about your TreeHouse experience. We also hope you will use the forum as a way to share parent/child information with one another. If you know of a great family event in our area post it as a comment so other moms and dads don’t miss out. Have a good tip… share it.

Welcome To Our First TreeHouse blog!

Michele Balaka • Owner of TreeHouse

Welcome parents, kids and friends to our first TreeHouse blog! We are so excited to expand our ways to interact with all of you. We now have this blog, a facebook page, twitter, and youtube channel. The plan is to use these outlets to make news about TreeHouse and other parent/child information easily accessible and immediate to you.

By posting updates, sharing pictures and sending out reminders via our social media it will be easy for us all to stay connected. You won’t have to wonder what is going on at TreeHouse, you’ll know!

So what is going on? We are thriving. While other businesses catering to kids and parents are lowering their standards and decreasing services we haven’t compromised a single one of our principles – and never will. In fact, we’ve even increased staff levels due to the surge in attendance, and are now more determined than ever to deliver value and quality to you.  We know you demand a safe and fun experience for your kids, and value for your hard-earned dollars. Don’t worry, that is exactly what we will continue to deliver.

Just another fun filled day fueled by imagination at the TreeHouse!

Stay tuned for pertinent news and great stories. Check us out on facebook, twitter and youtube too. On facebook fan our page ‘Chelsea TreeHouse’ or ‘Chicago TreeHouse’ and follow us on twitter at ‘TreeHouseChel’ or TreeHouseChi’.

The groundhog saw his shadow so winter isn’t over yet, but remember it is always sunny and 70 degrees at the absolute best kids’ play address in town!
